Friday 13th January: was lucky for us, we had our annual Quality in Tourism assessment which confirmed our four star rating together with the Gold Award and Breakfast Award. January 2012: we have just installed a Caldura Digital Silent Fridge in the Barn so that our guests can keep things cool without suffering the 'noisy fridge syndrome'!

28th May 2011: More and more walkers are discovering the Chiltern Hills for both the sheer beauty of the countryside and the diversity of the walking trails. If you want a quick online explore, read the Risborough Countryside Group blog, especially about their Walking Festival (7th - 12th June). Railways, orchids, old roads, geology, butterflies, Brunel - all to be discovered. Not to mention red kites, bluebells, etc. And sometimes even Morris Men, performing at a pub enroute.
26th May 2011: We have just installed a Kinetico 2020C HE water softener and a Kinetico MAC7500 water filter.
Our guests will now be able to have wonderful tasting filtered water: I have just had a large glass full and can verify the claim! I always thought that our water was quite good, but this certainly makes a difference.
Washing and showering will now be even more luxurious, just like using the natuarally soft water you find in Devon & Cornwall: just a little shampoo or shower gel giving you a wonderful lather and silky skin.
Even the towels and bed linen should be softer, and we will now be able to use less in the way of detergents and cleaners. Sue will be appreciating the fact that she does not have to rub so hard with her microfibre cloths to get rid of those chalky water deposits!
June 2010: We are pleased to announce that, following our annual Quality in Tourism inspection, Visit Britain has given us a coveted Gold Award and a Breakfast Award to go with our Four Star Rating.
