What to See and Do
Countryside
Enjoy the unspoilt countryside which surrounds the Barn. The Chiltern Hills is preserved as a Heritage Landscape. Footpaths passing the door take you along hilltops, through woods and into steep, winding valley. Red Kites soar overhead and all around are the special flowers, birds, butterflies and animals of the Chilterns, many seen on Denner Hill itself.
The famous beechwoods are a stroll away. Visit them throughout the year: lime green in spring, with a carpet of bluebells, cool walking in summer, fiery in autumn, cathedrals of quiet in winter.

Arts and Crafts
We are privileged to have Art in Action nearby. Each year, (15 to 18th July 2010) up to two hundred of artists from around the world come together in beautiful surroundings, each demonstrating what they do. There are classes, a market, and always accompanying music to make the day special. Craft Fairs are held on holiday weekends at Great Missenden.
If you like to visit artists at work, why not come in Bucks Open Studio fortnight (last two weeks of June). Talented artists of all kinds show and sell their work. Following a trail will take you to parts of the county you never knew existed!

Follow the trail and see locations from Midsomer Murders. A great way to see beautiful Chiltern villages and countryside. And they're getting closer to us!
Visit the Roald Dahl Museum, café and shop in Great Missenden. Sometimes Gypsy House and garden are open.
